Philosophy on Health

In a complex world, we have lost some of the meaning to our very own foundation needed to achieve optimal health.  My training philosophy is about keeping it simple and getting back to the basics.

We find ourselves in a world where individual success is dictated by promotion, financial success, social standing and family status.  Somehow in the shuffle of it all, we forget about somebody important - Ourselves.

Very often our own health is put last on the list or even forgotten about, when in reality, it should be one of the first priorities if we wish to continue to be successful in other areas of our lives.

I'm not talking about putting yourself before your family and friends, I'm talking about simply finding the time to take care of yourself.  We can all make time for health and fitness.

The truth is, if we don’t make time now, we may find ourselves suffering from a health concern, not having much time for anything and wishing we would have spent the few hours a week needed to improve our health.

In order for this to happen, it may require making small changes until they become our daily habits for life.

There are no shortcuts or easy paths to achieving your goals and making lasting changes.  What is required is a sound training program designed with only YOU in mind.

If you are ready to make a change, want to do it in the most effective way possible, and desire lasting results, consult with a professionally certified personal trainer. You will gain more time than you spend.

I believe in achieving dreams, challenging one's individual limits, training hard and becoming the best that you can be. When you make a commitment and focus your mind on any endeavor, anything is possible. Fitness can make you feel alive and take you beyond your wildest dreams.

I couldn't ask for a better career. To know that I've played a small part, directly or indirectly, in helping someone become more healthy and fit is about as rewarding as it gets.

My approach is focused, patient and encouraging.  I strive to keep the learning experience positive and enjoyable.

With the proper coaching, guidance, motivation, and support anyone can achieve optimal health and revitalize their life!

Training Background

As the owner and founder of Infitness, Annelise's training experience includes over 8 years of training, coaching and motivating individuals in achieving their fitness goals in the club, home or outdoor setting.

It can be said that Annelise’s passion for fitness is truly highlighted by her love for cycling and the great outdoors.  She has spent time on the trails by organizing and leading numerous hiking expeditions.  As an athlete herself, she has 10+ years of experience in many of the local long endurance bike rides, running events and in recent years began competing in and coaching triathlons.

Her client base includes training individuals with specific physiological goals (i.e.; reduction of body fat, increased muscle tone, and improved cardiovascular fitness), behavioral and lifestyle goals (ie; making necessary changes for life long health & fitness results) and sports specific goals (i.e.; triathlon, cycling, running and outdoor fitness athletes).

As a Heart Zones Master Trainer, Annelise specializes in cardiovascular fitness training, designing customized and efficient cardio training programs with the use of a heart rate monitor and the Heart Zones Training Methodology developed by Sally Edwards.

Annelise works closely with Team Survivor NW Cancer Survivors.  As their Cycling Coach, she provides training for the survivors so they can get and stay fit while enjoying the activity of cycling both indoors and outdoors on the trails and road.  She feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to coach the women of Team Survivor Northwest.
