Since August of 2006, I have been training with Annelise to get into better shape, improve my health over all, and to learn how to workout at my optimal heart rate for my best performance.
With the guidance of Annelise and other professionals she has referred me to, I have been working to improve my current health and overcome limitations. I have also benefited from Metabolic Fitness Testing with Annelise. I feel I am now able to work out in a more efficient way and feel really fit.
I benefit most from Annelise’s knowledge and ability to work with me as an individual with different changing needs. She is professional, talented and dedicated to her profession. I appreciate her willingness to examine how she does things and always strives for improvement.
I respect her goals and personal ethics as a fitness professional. I feel others would highly benefit from her dedication and I would most definitely recommend her training to others. I think she is a top personal trainer!

Thanks Annelise for your support and unwavering encouragement! My improvement in fitness owes much to all of your training and encouragement. I really appreciate all the suggestions you put in front of me, it keeps me working towards improving on my fitness and towards goals I would probably never have set for myself.
I’m very happy about where I am even though I had expected it to come so much easier than it has (sure was easier in my 20s and 30s). I’m now getting thrilled that I’m starting to see results faster than when I started.
I don’t think I would have done one of the tri’s this past year if not for your suggestion. “The One” was tougher than I thought, but I’m glad I did it. I am so excited to be feeling the joy and confidence with my biking again after way too many years away from it - again thanks to you!
Your ability to accept whatever I do and not ever make me feel like I’m failing some plan, has really helped me to fit in what I can and make small improvements a habit leading to a true life style change. You have also helped me overcome some bad self-talk, doubt and road blocks. I now feel confident in my abilities and especially my ability to improve.
Your inspirational words remind me why I continue to challenge myself – the more I do challenge myself to accomplish things that require some strength – not just physical but mental and emotional strength – the better I’ll be able to deal with life’s challenges that I don’t choose for myself. It also gives me a bit of inner pride, builds my spirit, and prepares me to set some new goals in fitness.
Since beginning training with you in 2006, I am happy to say that I have now successfully crossed many finish lines, including several sprint triathlons, running distances of 5k,10k & 12k’s, and completed 2 back to back centuries on the bike in the 2008 STP! I am now looking forward to setting new goals of greater distances in a ½ marathon, the LiveStrong Challenge, BikeMS and progressing to an Olympic Distance Triathlon in 2009!
Finding the confidence I now I have in crossing these finish lines will continue to help me as I work towards daily challenges I face in my own health and fitness goals. With the right dedication and commitment, I will achieve my goals and live my life, “Infitness”.

I have been training with Annelise since September ’08 for about 2-3 times a week to improve my overall strength and core function. I am a rower and so the weight training I do on a consistent basis helps to augment my rowing cardio workouts for fun and competition.
I feel in the few months I have been with Annelise, I am definitely getting stronger and improving my balance overall. I’ve also learned the role of heart rate training and am VERY happy.
I would describe Annelise as being very creative, and knowledgeable of the inner workings of the muscles. I feel confident that she has my safety in mind when I am starting to fatigue and may not keep good form if I were working on my own. I wouldn’t say she is a Nazi type trainer, but she does inspire me to really perform.
She treats the time we have together very respectfully and I appreciate that a lot. I would absolutely recommend training with her and INFITNESS to others!

Before I started working with Annelise November 2004, I’ve been in and out of varying stages of fitness and health my entire adult life. After 25+ years of riding the roller-coaster paradox of what I thought I knew what do, I decided that I needed to change. I knew I needed to approach my overall fitness from a holistic perspective and attend to the process more than focusing on results.
In January 2005, Annelise suggested I consider doing Metabolic Fitness Testing to compliment the personal training I was doing with her and include in some nutritional counseling sessions. I learned how to use a heart rate monitor for my cardio activities and keep my heart rate at the right number to burn maximal calories each minute and maximize my workouts. I also learned what my daily calorie intake should be based on my activities. I always guessed based on my current weight and whatever diet I was following at the time.
Equipped with this NEW information, I started exercising and eating differently. While my activities are the same, the intensity and frequency are different. I also added strength training to boost my muscle mass as well as my metabolism. I still eat similar foods, but now manage sugar intake and portions better. I am now managing how much I am taking in and how much I am burning - this has made a VERY noticable difference!
I have seen many improvements such as weight loss up to 10+ pounds, stronger on my bike, keeping faster paces while hiking and oh by the way, I do all this with only one lung. I am still a work in progress as fitness is always work to continue to maintain, however, now I am not driven by the number on a scale or a clothing tag. I know I am healthy and fit and getting more so every day.
Annelise tells me that not only have I made physical changes, I have also made changes in my perception of what it means to “Live Infitness” in my everyday life and it with this NEW knowledge that I will continue to live each day towards improved health.
Before working with Annelise, I used to think that I couldn’t just squeeze in exercise, between my appointments, at home. My pattern was to go to the gym, do cardio for 30-60 minutes, and then do some resistance training and stretching. Exercise was an event, a big block of time to plan for.
Now, my pattern is to look at my week on Monday morning and schedule my yoga, dog walks, outdoor bike rides, indoor cardio and resistance exercises for the whole week. I make it a priority to make sure I have a 60 minute block of free time, where I know I can do cardio or resistance or walk the dog. Yoga I do in a class 1-2x a week depending on weather and my client schedule. And outdoor bike rides are not happening now, but will when the weather permits. In the meantime, my bike is on the trainer and I make time to ride indoors. There are no excuses and I always feel good afterwards!

-Page T., Bellevue Starting in the spring of 2006 I began training with Annelise in the areas of Personal Training, Metabolic Fitness Testing, Triathlon and Run Training. Since working with Annelise, my fitness, strength, and stamina have improved slowly but steadily. I am excited to say, and much to my wonderment, I have completed the Danskin Women’s Triathlon 3 times and a 12k Run Event. Annelise is compassionate, upbeat, always exhibiting a positive attitude and a sunny disposition. I appreciate how she is willing to find the answer if she doesn’t have all of the information on hand. She is accepting of different viewpoints and recognizes the uniqueness of each individual. She keeps fit herself and participates in events with her trainees. She is not a drill sergeant but is very appropriately demanding. I have recommended her training to others and will definitely continue to do so. - P.W., Bellevue
Through the training framework of Heart Zones Coaching for the Danskin Triathlon my confidence has soared knowing that “Yes, I can do it” even though I am starting this journey rather late in life. The biggest fitness goal I have accomplished is beginning the journey and continuing to be committed to it.
There is no question in my mind that fitness takes precedence over other mundane activities – its place in my daily schedule is sacred. I have learned many creative ways to fit in time for fitness while traveling whether for business or pleasure.
Working with Annelise, I appreciate the continued encouragement, total support, and her infectious never wavering confidence in my ability to achieve. Annelise has been responsible for guiding me towards events I never thought I could do and now enjoy more than ever.
